Latex vs Rubber

0This is what I understand from a online dictionary about the difference between latex and rubber. Latex is tree sap of some types of trees and it coagulates on exposure to air while rubber is processed tree sap and is used in a wide range of products, like surgical gloves, tyres, and etc. So, in short, latex is rubber before processing. However, I hear people call rubber gloves latex and I suppose that's acceptable though it's not accurate.02br

So synthetized or "commercially manufactured latex" is the same as rubber?

Latex is an emulsion naturally secreted by some plants when their skin is pierced in some way. The latex of poppies is used to make opium & heroin. The rubber tree secretes a latex which can be used to make rubber. Rubber can be processed to varying extents (including vulcanisation) - but the processing doesn't make it rubber. So rubber is a particular latex.
