Late than i should or should have

A.  I'm worried I might not get the result if I submit my application later than I should.
B.  I'm worried I might not get the result if I submit my application later than I should have.

1.  I'm confused which of the sentences above is correct.  Is it A or B?
2.  If both are possible, what is the difference in meaning?
3.  Which sounds more natural?

I've been thinking about this for half an hour now.  I'm still confused.  I would very much appreciate your help, please.

A is the correct sentence, though you do hear B it mixes tenses therefore incorrect to my ear. I worried that I won't get the result because I submitted my application later than I should have. - You have already submitted late.
