Last June

It is November, 2009. I would like to write something I did in June, 2009. Can I say last June instead of June, 2009? or If I say last June, it means June, 2008?

Hi, 'Last June' means June 2009. But simply eg I did it in June is more common. Clive

It would be clearer if you just said 'in June'. 'Last June' will be understood correctly by about 75% of your listeners; the other 25% will probably ask for confirmation as to which year is meant.
