Last holiday or on last holiday?

Hello!

Could you help me, please?

Which is right:

1) Where did you go last holiday?

2) Where did you go ON your last holiday?

And why:

1) Where were you ON your last birthday?

but

2) What present did you get last birthday?

P.S. the second two sentences are taken from an English Student's Book.

Thank you!
