Last April?

It is August 2011. If I were to say 'last June' would I be referring to this June just gone (2011) or June last year (2010)?

Hi, To me, it means June 2011, although most people would omit 'last'. However, some people on the Forum have commented that they think it means June 2010, so if it is important you should ask for clarification. Clive

From now on I shall use June 2010! It makes life simpler and I won't g

Hi,

If I just say today, 'I saw Tom in June', everybody will understand that I mean June 2011.

It's the common way of saying it.
