I know 'the last thing I want to do is...' means 'I don't like to do that'
If someone answers someone's question and he (answerer) says a couple of solutions or answers to the quesion and then he says ' my last answer is ....', does he imply this is not important?
I can infer from the context that his last answer is very important, so in this case the word last doesn't mean less important, right?
Thanks

Hi, 'My last answer' is not a very common expression. Howwever, 'my final answer' is, and it means that's my final decision/comment. Clive

Something like, "And that's my final word on the subject." But that can be ambiguous too. It can mean, "After I've turned over every stone, after I've considered every possibility, that is the conclusion I have reached."
Or it can simply mean, "I'm really sick of this discussion, and that's the last thing I'm going to say."
