Laserium...

l knew those roadblocks l slipped past
weren't there for just a chemical spill.
They evacuated the area because
of what's down here underground.
And judging by that funky (bizarre?)sound...
...and the megawatt light show...something's going on
behind that door and it's not Laserium. Laser show as in disco clubs?
Oh, my God. lt's official. Confirmed?

"Funky" was originally used to describe music, I think, and carries a connotation of fresh, different, out of the mainstream, crazy but in a good way. Without more context, I'd say he's using the word here almost ironically - whatever's going on behind the door is not pop culture. "Laserium" - I've never heard the word but a dance club sounds like a good guess.
