Language/tone assisting word

eg What the X is that? (X has been covered up lest children under 18 be using this website)
eg They are so X delicious.

X is not for children under 18, but is added to sentences to increase the power, boost the tone, and augment the impressiveness of the language. In my language words like X are called language/tone assisting word, what are they called in English? ('foul language'/'slang' is not the thing.)
