The boy went to the pitcher of water in the kitchen, but it was empty. The boy thought to go to a well at some distance to fetch water. He went alone to the well and returned home with the pitcher full of water. His mother had slept by that time. He did not want to disturb his mother in her sleep so he stood beside her bed. He stood there all night holding a glass of water.
