Language Constructs: Belief...

Can you please help to try and figure out the difference between these three English statements, ie I am not concerned about their meaning, either philosophical, theological, or otherwise, only what makes each of these three sentence constructs to be different:

1) "I believe God"

2) "I believe in God"

3) "I believe that God..."

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, osks - and welcome to English Forums. If you are not concerned with their meanings, then I cannot tell you anything that is different about them, since it is only the different meanings that are important. Otherwise, all I can tell you is that the 3 sentences have different words in them.
