"language barrier " means what in this email

pls see below email between henly and cris, I want to know the language barrier refers to what ? means Henly believes Linda's language is not good to communicate with him ? or Henly has language barrier to express himself clearly ?

Quote :

Hi Henly

Is everything clear now on the software using you spoke with Linda
Let me know anything more you need from me ?

Cris

---------------------------------------...

hi, Cris

please follow up with Linda on clarity of software ISO standard .

There is a bit of a language barrier there for me, so I tried to explain it as best as I could.

your software was developed on 2015 , so the ISO standard need follow the new launched one ......

Please take a look at the attached and verify.

Thank you,

Henly

I don't think it is possible to be sure exactly what it refers to just from those emails.

It sounds like Henly believes that Henly and Linda had trouble communicating because of they speak different languages as their native tongue. And that Henly thinks Cris can communicate with Linda more effectively.
