1. He took one acre of land on lease from Mr. A.

2. He is cultivating an acre of land taken on lease from Mr. A.

3. He let out a flat to Mr. M.

4. He let a flat out to Mr. M.

5. I am looking for a house to rent.

6. I will not lease the house unless I find a suitable guy.

He gave or received the land

He leased from = he received

He leased to = he gave

He leased = not clear, could be either, but context generally helps.

I lease the cars in my company. A friend told me of a very good leasing company. They lease cars.
