lack of verb

Hello,
I would like to know if we can use such type of sentences in English:
I worked as a German teacher at a Primary School in Gdansk, my home town.
(=which is my home town)
Suddenly we ran into Mrs Jones, the most beautiful woman in the world.

I think such sentences are ok, but I would like to make sure Emotion: smile Thank you! Emotion: smile
