Lab report

In a scientific lab report for school, what tense should I be using? I believe the general understanding for lab report is past tense, but it has been awhile since I wrote one. Can some please answer this?

phxsunstoon I believe the general understanding for lab report is past tense I agree, but it is also often done in simple present, particularly when one is describing it as a general procedure. Just be consistent.
