L2 Acquisition - reading material needed

I need to do some swotting on L2 learning / acquisition. Could anyone suggest a reading list on the subject? I'm looking for the kind of thing you would have to read on an introductory course, at university level,

  • I could give you the reading list for BrockU, Canada but it would not do you much good for a university in England or the US, or elsewhere.
