Kung Fu

Kung fu is a proper noun, right? That is, it does not have to be capitalized unless it's part of a name of, say, a school or something. So if someone were to write, "he did his kung fu stance," or "he was a master of kung fu," there would be no need to capitalize it. Am I right about that?
