Kumbaya lovefest ?

Hello everybody.I am reading 'The Power of Fifty Bits' by Bob Nease.But for all of this kumbaya lovefest to work, that bigger pie needs to be divided fairly, and successful, sustainablepie-splitting tends to go south when the cheaters arrive.I don't know what kumbaya lovefest  means and can't figure out what the writer is trying to say entirely.Would you please help me?Thanks ??

Do you even try googling this stuff? Let's see. Google on "kumbaya". First hit, the Wikipedia article, which tells you more about it than I will ever know. All right, "lovefest". First hit, the Oxford dictionary entry, which I would have had to access myself to give you a correct and verifiable answer.

So, no. You don't even try.

But anyway, the writer made up a so-called kumbaya lovefest to characterize the folk-music end of the US hippie movement in the 60s, a back-to-nature, quasi-Christian, pacifist movement among the youth as a pendulum swing away from the horrors their parents went through with WWII. I can't tell exactly what he is referring to, but it seems it would involve fair play, generosity and brotherhood, all doomed to fail to produce the desired result.
