Kudos

I was listening to an American lady interviewed on a radio programme this morning. She used the word 'kudos' pronouncing it as the plural of 'kudo' 'kudose'
I have always pronounced it as spelt 'kudos' Queue + dos

Any comments?
What is a 'kudo', anyway?`

I believe the word 'kudos' is the correct word and that it has a similar meaning with 'salute'.

I usually say "COO-dose," and use it in the traditional way as a singular word meaning "praise." The only dictionary I have found which gives "COO-dose" and "CUE-dose" as one of the plurals of "kudo" ("COO-doh" or "CUE-doh") is the dictionary at www.infoplease.com (and the dictionary it is based upon, *The Random House Webster's Unabridged Dictionary,* 2nd ed.) The usual plurals of "kudo" are "COO
