Knows/will know

Hello all!

Mike Leigh is a playwright who works without a script, so the actors have to improvise. For this reason , his new play does not even have a title. But by next Friday morning, Leigh will have found out whether his new play meets with the approval of the critics or not. On Thursday evening, the cast will perform "A New Play by Mike Leigh" for the first time and before an audience who knows virtually nothing about it.

- My question is whether I could use "will know" instead of "knows" in the last sentence. What would be the difference between the two? If it is not possible to use "will know", why is it that? Tell me, please

Thank you very much.
