Knowledge in and exemption from

Hi,

I would like to say:
I have got the knowledge in ACCA paper x, and
I have the exemption from ACCA paper x.

Can I write:
I have the knowledge in and exemption from ACCA paper x. Therefore, I am confident that I will do well in any accounting related training.
?

Note:
Exemption=
I passed the paper x in my BSc, so I exempt from the paper x, and don't need to take the paper x exam again.

Thanks

Generally, your combining form for prepositions is correct, but your overall sentence is not. Frankly, I do not understand it fully as it stands, but I suggest that the two processes are quite different and do not combine well grammatically. We do not normally use 'knowledge' in that way; knowledge is a possession finally attained only after much study and cogitation.

  • Try this as more natural: I passed the ACCA paper during my BSc studies, so I have been exempted from retaking it.

Hi,

"I passed the ACCA paper during my BSc studies, so I have been exempted from retaking it."

I think you sentence is very good.

But, is it possibe to modify your sentence, so that I can emphasize that I understand the content in that subject, or I have the knowledge in that subject?

I amended my sentence to:

I

No, sorry-- I do not like those at all. They are not native. A native speaker would realize that since you 'passed' the paper, you have acquired the knowledge. Trying to state that outright insults the reader's intelligence.

Thanks,

For an native speaker, will they think of any connection between I have the exemption from the ACCA paper x and I am confident that I will do well in any accounting related training.

Ie, it is sensible to say:
0
Yes, that sounds good, but:

I have an exemption from the ACCA paper x, so I am confident that I will do well in any accounting-related training.

I hope you are still mentioning that you passed it during your BSc studies.
