Knowledge

Hi.
In:
"In line with this strategy, White charges into Black's territory, secure in the knowledge that the greater force he can mobilize should prove decisive."

may I omit 'in the knowledge that' from 'secure in the knowledge that'?

Thanks in advance

Of course, you would have to retain 'that', but it would not sound natural. 'Secure in the knowledge that/of' is a fixed phrase.
