I don't know why the author chose "rude". Well, s/he had to find a rhyme with "mood". Or maybe it's towards the other persons around the girl, who probably are very kind to her because her lover's left her, and she can do nothing but cry - which I can quite understand...-
You know, lyrics... They're (sometimes) like poetry: why this word rather than another? Well, because it was in the writer's heart...
