Know or know about

In English can you actually say "We know that accident"

I think it sounds not right

Maybe it should be like either

We know about that accident OR

We have heard about that accident

Could you help me clarify the expression

thanks

deborahjeong In English can you actually say "We know that accident" I think it sounds not right Grammatically it is correct, but in practice it would hardly be used. It gives an impression that an accident has some kind of a continuing existence or presence. It is hard to think of a situation where you would say it.
