Can one use:

1-The police knew about their robbing the bank.
if the bank has not yet been robbed but they have a plan to rob the bank?

Let us say you have an injury and ask the doctor if you can go swimming.
Can he say:

2-I do not know about going swimming.
3-I do not know about your going swimming.
