MOTIVATION LETTER

I’m writing to express my interest in applying for a master Degree programme in Cardiovascular Science starting in winter 2018. I believe my educational background would enable me to make a strong contribution at the university. I graduated from Kogi State University Anyigba, Nigeria in 2016 and got a bachelor degree in Biological sciences(Botany option). During my study I offered the following courses as seen in my transcript: General Biology (Bio 101 and Bio 102), General Biology Laboratory (Bio 107 and 108), General Chemistry, General Physics, Genetics (Bio 201 and Bio 301), lower vertebrates and Chordates, General microbiology, Biochemistry (introductory Developmental cell Biology BCH 201 & 202), Biological Techniques (use of the laboratory and research methodologies) General physiology, botany and other fields in Biology. These courses have helped laid a good foundation for me to study Cardiovascular Science at masters’ level. My academic performance has always been top of the class. I would like to continue my studies in order to gain knowledge and experiences by academic research about cardiovascular diseases and therapy. I believe a Master Degree Programme in Cardiovascular Science would offer me the possibility of receiving the complete picture of all aspects of this field. In addition, another reason for choosing this specific Master Programme comes from the fact I want to deepen, widen and explore the field of Cardiovascular Science and through research provide solution to health issues. Furthermore, if I get selected for this programme, I will have the opportunity to learn from the best and the fact that I will study in an international environment will give me the privilege to create new relationships with people from different cultures. I am also aware of the kind of dedication and perseverance I will need to have for achieving the best results in the field and I believe my background will qualify me for such a Master Programme. Finally I can say that I look forward to join this Master Degree Programme in winter 2018, in order to prove my abilities and gain new skills and I will be patiently waiting for a positive reply.
