Thanks for answering. If both "He is good in English" and "He is good at English" are fine then what is the difference between them?

They are almost the same.
I think I'd use "good at English" to mean that he's skilled at speaking English or writing English.
I'd use "good in English" for that, too, but also to mean that he is doing well in English class.

If that is the case then can we "good in English" for an adult who is no longer going to school just to praise his English?
