Kindly explain

Kindly explain why "would" has been used in the following sentences and not "will"

"Please be informed that we would be calling you at the requested time slot"

"Validity of the gift voucher would be for 1 year"

"Would" is wrong here. It should be "will".

This is an awkward polite form some people use, not called for here in my view even if you like it. "Is" suffices:
