1. What is the difference between the following sentences?
1. What kind of sports do you like?
2. What kinds of sports do you like?
Remind you or me that there are a limited number of sports being played today.
3. What kind of interests do you have?

I am walking the dog.
Is this sentence putting more of its focus on the dog and the fact that walking is being done for it?

It seems to me that in question 1, the expectation is that the answer will be one sport, or perhaps their favorite sport. While question 2 would be asking for a few examples. Same thing for the below questions.

With all due respect, I don't think the phrase "I am walking the dog" necessarily means helping it to relieve itself. Are you really sure of its meaning? I think it just means I am taking a walk with a dog.
I am sure you know what you are talking about but the thing is that I haven't heard that kind of meaning for/on ???? that phrase.
