Kind of sports / kinds of sports. help me please.

Dear Teachers



What kind of sports do you play?

This question sentence is from a textbook.

I want ask why no s after the word kind is.

I mean if “what kinds of sports do you play ?” can make other senses.





If someone ask “What kind of sports do you play?".

Advise me whether I offer them just one answer?



Please Explain for me.
