Kind

Hi

Is this a proper sentence? I mean for an official letter.I'd like to know whether "kind" induces the gentle and polite intonation I'm looking for.

Would you please be so kind to help me in this regard?

Thanks

Would you please be so kind as to help me in this regard? This is considered rather stilted nowadays, especially 'in this regard'. Just name the 'regard'.

Hi MM.

Can we substitute "and" for "as to" in Would you please be so kind as to help me in this regard? ?

Not unless you make it less formal:

Would you please be very kind and help me with this?
