Kimchi liqruorice!

1. We're talking about kimchi. I say:

It's good to others and not to some.

2. Black liquorice is like kimchi to/for Koreans. It's an acquired taste and not all can take it. But the Finnish love it.

Please tell me if it should be for or to.

I think I'd say it with this standard "proportion" formula:

Black licorice is to us as kimchi is to Koreans.

(A is to B as C is to D.
