Dear teachers,

What does "I saw him killed." mean?

I saw him killed. = He was seen [by me] to be killed [by someone]. = Someone killed him, and since I was at
that place, I could see it.

Slightly off-topic, but "He was seen to be killed" isn't quite right. You should use "He was seen to have been killed".
