Kick off

Hey everyone, someone for example, goes and opens a sandwich store and now the sandwich store owner wants to tell one of his friends, so can he say, "Yo I kicked off a sandwich store ya know!" instead of saying, "Yo I opened a sandwich store ya know!" ?
