kick and chase ball?

Hi,

On the same subject as one of my previous posts about soccer/football. I have no idea what 'kick and chase ball' mean here... Would anyone know what is being referred to here?

For a 5v5 soccer experience I use futsal regulation size dimensions. This creates an amazing experience pushing technical versus kick and chase ball. Visit our Soccer field layout page for dimensions specific to age and group size.

Again, thank you for your help!

Hi Yes, it refers to our previous talk. In a general way, there are two methods of playing soccer One is where the players use mostly short passes to move the ball up the field toward to the goal. They work as a team and keep control of the ball - always keeping the ball within range of one of their own players, not letting the other side intercept the ball The other way is to have a player toward the back of your field who can kick the ball way into the other half.

  • With skill, this is done so that it is picked up by one of your own players, then in a good position to make an attack If this second way is done badly, the ball is just booted up the field as far as possible and all the other players run after it as fast as possible.

Thank you Dave! That was very helpful! Emotion: smile I don't watch a whole lot of soccer as you may have noticed by now.

Hi Dave,

One last question.

So, 'kick and chase ball' is just a single technique? The other one being 'technical ball'?

Thank you.

Hi

I think I'd say that the long-ball game is one strategy in football. If done well, the opposing team have run forward and are caught out because the ball goes over their heads, to the feet of your player, near their goal

'Kick and chase', as said, looks a little like this, but is not very skillful and depends a lot on chance - will one of your own players get possession of th

Hi,

Ah, yes I see now. I got your explanation. Just wasn't sure whether 'kick and chase' belonged together.

Thanks and have a great weekend!
