Study plan to improve foreign languages (Korean and English) required for taking a degree course before and after you come to Korea.
This is my language study plan for GKS scholarship:
As I am applying to study 4 years of bachelor's degree in South Korea, learning Korean language is essential. From understanding the concepts of my course to surviving daily life, I need to be fluent in this language. I started learning Hangul and some basic Korean words during Covid lockdown in India from app named duolingo and YouTube channels such as Learn Korean in India or Learn Korean with Koreanclass 101. I could not go to any Korean language class due to the fact that there were none in my hometown. But, before taking off from India, I will make sure to acquire basic Korean language knowledge. Since I am very fond of music, learning lyrics is quite easy for me. I will try to learn lyrics of kpop songs with their meaning. It will help me to improve my pronunciation as well as vocabulary. There are some apps and YouTube channels that can help me learn grammer and word arrangements. Through daily practice and determination I will be able to form basic sentences. Although I am still not ready to converse in Korean language, I will definitely try my best to learn it as quickly as possible. Upon my arrival in Korea , I will plan self study sessions along with the Korean language program. After learning the basic sentence formation and structure, I will start reading children books and short stories. Furthermore, I will be active in the language exchange and culture experiencing programs in order to improve my general communication skills.
I have been studying in english- medium schools from my childhood. Since elementary school, I had to talk in english with my teachers. Thus I believe I am a intermediate- level english user, despite it being my second language. I always watch english movies which helps me to improve my pronunciation and communication skills. I am also interested in reading books. Though my English is good , I will practice whenever I could. Before landing in Korea, I will make sure to acquire higher command on this language.
