Kevin put on his headphones. An elderly man walked ahead of him

Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Kevin put on his headphones. An elderly man walked ahead of him and accidentally dropped his grocery bag on the floor. Kevin was frightened when he saw the salt spread on the street. He seeked anxiously for something with wood. Kevin found a pharmacy which had a wood door and quickly knocked it."

I tried to write in past tense.

Thanks!
