Kepler's models/products/concepts

Kepler's models -- known as Kepler's Laws of Planetary Motion -- are still used by astronomers today.

Hi,
Does "models" in the above refer to "products/concepts" or something else? Thanks.

Top answer

A scientific model is an intellectual construction, although a "working model" might be constructed in some cases, eg, the double helix DNA molecule. But a "working model" of the planets could not convey Kepler's laws completely. A scientific model might consist only in a series of mathmetical equations.
