Let's say you used a metaphor about the sport of baseball to describe a situation. (We'd really like to hit a home run with our clients on this!")

You're about to say something additional and realize that maybe it will sound a little silly, or that it's not the best metaphor to use, but you say "Keeping with the metaphor, unfortunatley we got thrown out at first." That's another metaphor
