Keep the fruit

Hi! Below is from the movie, Casino Royale.

JB: Dry Martini.
Bartender: Oui, monsieur.
JB: Wait... three measures of Gordon's; one of vodka; half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it over ice, and add a thin slice of lemon peel.
Bartender: Yes, sir.
Tomelli: You know, I'll have one of those.
Infante: So will I.
Bartender: Certainly.
Felix Leiter: My friend, bring me one as well, keep the fruit.

****************

The "Keep the fruit", is it to be understood to mean that the bartender needs to not put the fruit in the cocktail? Meaning "keep the fruit with you, not with me" rather than "keep the fruit it the glass for me"?

Hi,
I'm reminded of this famous dialogue from a movie by Jack Nicholson called Five Easy Pieces:

[Bobby wants plain toast, which isn't on the menu]
Bobby: I'd like an omelet, plain, and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat toast, no mayonnaise, no butter, no lettuc

Yes, that's right, except for the last part. The fruit starts in the bartender's dish. It's not in the glass unt
