Keep self-effacing

Please correct the following paragraph.

After he became famous, he keeps self-effacing. He won’t be complacent and will give credits to his teammates. It is very commendable. Also, he always be a first-rate version of himself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. What we can learn from his story is his attitude to face the dilemma and how to survive a crisis. He sets an example to the other sports players.
