Hello, everyone!!What does this mean? It seems to be a riddle. ....................................................................Q: Why are comedians like doctors?A: They keep people in stitches......................................................................I can't get the meaning. Hope somebody help me. Thank you in advance.

Yes, it's a riddle (and a joke). To "keep people in stictches" is to make them laugh a lot. I'm not sure how the phrase got this meaning. Maybe the original idea has something to do with the fact that it's possible to laugh so hard that it hurts.

Doctors keep people in stitches by sewing (suturing) them up. Comedians keep people in stictches by making them laugh.
