It's meant to represent the sound of a cash register being opened.

It's the sound of making money, a lot of it. (As others noted, it is a cash register sound.)
Now that you have all that money* (Ka-Ching), now you can buy some bling-bling.
*- I would have said dough, but that isn't hip or tight or cool or whatever.

The usual meaning is something along the lines of "Wow! I just made some easy money!".
