Just two sentences

Lara, however, said he would have chosen to bowl had he won the toss.


The above is related to cricket. Is the sentence grammatically correct?

There are people to admire him as well as revile him.

This person was a former head of state. My question is on the word revile.

Would you write it as the opposite of admire?
