M: Two tickets for the 3 o’clock show, please.
W: Sorry, it’s already sold out.
M: Then what about the 8 o’clock show?
W:
(a) You’re just too late.
(b) You’re next in line.
(c) There’s another one nearby.
(d) That’s fully booked as well.

why (a)could not be a possible answer?
