just think that

A photographer says this to a friend:
I can't take pictures of friends. It stresses me out to take pictures of friends because I'm scared they might not like it.

The friend replies:

Just think we aren't friends then.

Is it natural to say 'just think that'?

Thank you

Anonymous Is it natural to say 'just think that'? No, that's not the best way to say this. I would be inclined to say: Just imagine that we aren't friends, then.

No, that's not the best way to say this. I would be inclined to say:

Just imagine that we aren't friends, then.
Just pretend that we aren't friends, then.

Or:

Just act as if we weren't friends, then. -- even that one is better than your original suggestion.
