Just in case...

Hi,
Have I written the correct sentence after just in case here:
I always have boring book on my night table just in case I'm wide awake so it would make me feel drowsy and sleep as soon as possible by reading it.
Please tell me what are my mistakes, I will be really happy.
Thanks a million.

Hi I think it is correct. The sentence is better this way. I always have a boring book on my night table just in case I'm wide awake it would make me feel drowsy and sleepy reading it.
