Just as exact same amount as...

John: Can you lend me a dollar?
Bob: I'm sorry, I don't have any.
John You don't have any!?
Bob: I just used up all the money. Look, I only grabbed money just the exact same amount as all the stuffs I bought.
John: Now how can you get back home since you don't have any penny left?
Bob: That's a good question.
John: ???
Hi,

I want to ask if I can make that underlined texts shorter.

Can I say "Look, I only brought the certain amount", and leave out all the following elaboration as in "...as exact same amount as all the stuffs I bought" which I think is unnecessary.

I just want to make it shorter colloquially.

Thank you.

I just took/picked up exactly what (I knew) I would need. I don't think grabbed works. It suggests haste; taking exactly what he would need might take a little time.

Thank you.

Let's say "brought" then.

However, I just want to know how I can make that texts shorter.

I brought just the right amount? - sound strange to me.

I brought just the certain amount( ...equal to the amount all my stuffs cost") - I don't know if "certain" is understood in this context.

Thank you.
