How do you use Just as easily?

1 You can just as easily send him a letter as call him.

2 He could just as easily have a better card than you. (card game)
3 He could easily have a better card than you.

Whats the differebce between 2 and 3? what does 2 mean?

How would you say this?

- You can't speak in person the way you do in text messages./the same in person as you do in text messages.
- You can't speak the way you do in text messages in person.
