Grammar

Just as

Hi,
In grammar we know that and, because, since are words that make two phrases in the 'same direction'. While but, although, however, in contrast are words that make phrases 'change direction.' I don't know what's the best way to phrase it, but um, for example __________ and ________. We know that the two blanks are similar because of the 'same direction' word AND. While in __________ but _____________ we can know that the two phrases are opposites for example I like you BUT i'm seeing someone right now. As compared to AND, "I like you AND i would like to hug you"
Does this make sense?

Anyway, my question is :
Is "JUST AS" same direction or changes the direction.

Thanks in advance.
