just a typo?

Hi,

I prefer chocolate ice cream.

This sentence is taken from an online English resource

Looks like the preposition 'to' between 'chocolate' and 'ice cream' is missing? I wonder if it's just a typo?

Or maybe it was ok to omit the 'to' in this context?

"I prefer chocolate ice cream" - meaning that my favourite ice cream is chocolate flavoured. It doesn't mean I would rather have chocolate than ice cream.

Thank you, Stormy! (My only consolation is that ...even Homer nods Emotion: smile)
